This picture was
taken some time during late summer of 1970 at a location in the village
of Thanh Quit that we referred to as "the Rich Man's House,"
because the owner of the house was one of the more well-to-do members
of one of the villages we protected.

Some of the Corpsmen
from CACO 2-7 getting medical supplies from Company Headquarters.
From L to
R: Doc Omness, Doc Sanchez (in rear), Doc Leslie, Doc Hardeman,
Jack Driggers.
Driggers wasn't
a Corpsman, but he was good at everything he did. He was a regular member
of CAP 2-7-4 and was at CACO that day for a 1-day R&R.

Chiên, one of our Popular Forces soldiers that we worked with. He
was one of the best, and a very close friend of mine along with most of
the other Marines in CAP 4. |

Cuws
- If memory serves me right, Cuws was the Sgt. of our Popular Forces counterparts,
a very dedicated soldier. |
